Public Notice: Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) maltreating junior officers
It is common knowledge that those in high places tend to abuse power. But what is to become of the powerless if those charged with enforcing the law has little or no regard for it?
Such is the case in No. 37 PMF Lokoja popularly called MOPOL 37 as the COMMANDING OFFICER CSP MOHAMMED S. MOHAMMED is often found physically assaulting the junior officers of the rank. He is known to be a constant abuser of his office in numerous ways ranging from slapping, beating and locking up his subordinates for selling serving reasons.
He has so far assaulted one CPL, three SGT and he recently assaulted a senior police Inspector. It was said that the said inspector was disgruntled over the sum of money he received for a beat he just completed and the Commander upon hearing his complaint decided to slap a senior police inspector officer knowing when he has been cheated and daring to say it out loud. But of course the inspector retaliated and a brawl ensued between the two uniformed officers. According to a plea that came out from the policemen in the area to the state commissioner and the police IG, which has been pasted all over town for the masses to see. CSP MOHAMMED S. MOHAMMED along with one of his unit commander named YUSUF beat this inspector so badly he landed in the hospital and was later taken to the police station to be detained and is still being detained according to sources.
How long will we have to endure this barbaric act from CSP MOHAMMED S. MOHAMMED cried the junior police officers. But my question is, if this so called CSP can do this to a fellow police officer how much more will he do to an ordinary civilian? This seriously puts the mode of recruitment of the NIGERIA POLICE Force under scrutiny, I mean how can they entrust our safety to insane men who are not psychologically sound.
We've had issues of misfire leading to death of innocent civilians an aggravated assault of the innocent and suspected criminals alike also leading to loss of life. The law is sound and as such requires only sound minds in discharging it. Please fellow Nigerians do not allow such mockery of the law go unreported wherever it is noticed, raise alarm. We will no longer die in silence.
